Family of deceased man may deserve workers' compensation

Most workers in Missouri are aware of the potential for harm they face while completing their workplace responsibilities. Despite this knowledge, victims of workplace accidents likely have concerns about their financial security if they are involved in such an accident. Additionally, their family members can also suffer the consequences, especially in the event of a fatality. As a result, employers are required to provide workers' compensation insurance coverage.

The family of a deceased man in another state may deserve such compensation after a recent workplace accident resulted in the man's death. According to reports, the man was on the roof of a company called Tidewater Insulators just before 7 a.m. on a day in mid-May. Police claim that they were initially notified that the man was working on repairs at the time.

Unfortunately, the man fell from the roof. Police say that the incident was an industrial accident, and they do not suspect foul play. However, officials are still working to determine what caused the man to fall. Representatives from the business's parent company, Building Products, have indicated that the company is working with police.

The emotional implications of an unexpected loss such as this are often clear. However, many who lose a loved one in a workplace accident often face significant financial complications as well. Funeral expenses in combination with lost wages often create an unmanageable burden. Though they may be entitled to workers' compensation insurance benefits, people who are grieving and unfamiliar with the process may struggle with the claims process. As a result, many in Missouri ask an experienced professional to help them seek a fair settlement.
